Does it work on password-protected staging environments?
Yes. As long as you can open the page in Chrome, Sidelay works on it: staging, localhost, or live production.
Do my clients need to install anything?
Yes, the Chrome extension. It’s a one-click install and your clients don’t need an account to leave a first comment.
What’s the difference between yellow and lavender pins?
Yellow pins are left by humans, your team and your clients. Lavender pins are placed automatically by Sidelay’s diagnostic engine when it detects an accessibility, SEO, or performance issue.
Will Sidelay always be free?
No, but everyone who joins us during the beta will get a meaningful discount on whatever pricing we land on. See our refund and cancellation policies for what to expect once paid plans roll out.
How do you handle accessibility yourselves?
This site is built to WCAG standards: semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, reduced-motion support, and accessible colour contrasts on the brand palette. If you spot an issue, please tell us.
